We barely keep any.

What we collect

• An anonymous device ID. When you first open the app it generates a random identifier (a UUID) stored securely on your device. We use it only to count one vote per person per day so the crowd percentages are honest. It is not linked to your name, email, phone number, or any account.
• Your daily picks. The option you choose for each combo is sent to our server and added to anonymous, aggregate crowd counts (e.g. “8% picked this”). We cannot tell who picked what.
• Basic anonymous usage events. So we can tell whether people come back and enjoy the game, we record two simple product-interaction signals — that the app was opened, and that the Share button was tapped — tagged only with the anonymous device ID and the date. No screens-viewed trail, no profiling; these feed aggregate retention counts only. There is no third-party analytics SDK — the app talks only to our own server.

What we do NOT collect

• No name, email, phone number, or account — WEIRDO has no login.
• No location, contacts, photos, or microphone.
• We don’t use IP addresses to identify, profile, or track you, and we don’t build a device fingerprint. (Like any website or server, ours may briefly see an IP to deliver responses and guard against abuse, and standard server logs may record it transiently — but it isn’t tied to your picks or used to identify you.)
• No advertising, and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

Stored on your device only

Your streak, stats, and settings (sound/haptics) live on your device (local storage) and are never uploaded.

How the data is used

Solely to run the game: compute the crowd percentages and your rarity/vibe. Aggregate vote counts are retained to build the crowd data over time; because they’re anonymous and aggregated, they can’t be traced back to you.

Sharing

Nothing is sold or shared with third parties. When you tap Share, your device’s own share sheet sends the image wherever you choose — we aren’t involved.

Children

WEIRDO isn’t directed at children under 13 and we don’t knowingly collect data from them.
